Stories From One Creative Life
Ohhh brave girl. I love that you critique our professor's books publicly! I haven't read Rachel's but I thought Christina's was quietly touching. What I liked about it was that it wasn't overreaching, or academically super smart--like Tony's (hehe)Christina's ,I thought, was quite simple, and there is a sweet purity to that. Did you read Michael Lowenthal's? His I'd give 4 stars.
I haven't read his yet. I'll put it on my list. Yeah, I'll have to make sure to take the reviews down if I ever mention it to any of the profs!
I love reading others' booklists, so go for it, Bug! Did anyone see Tony's piece abotu South African food in November's Gourmet Magazine. Really good.
