Just in case anyone is wondering... still haven't heard anything from that editor. I was thinking I'd give her til Friday and then send her a friendly "what's up" email. Does that sound like a good plan?

Is this an editor that we have mutually in common? If so, you're in better shape than me. She asked for my full essay MONTHS ago, and never responded on it. I hope she gets back to you ASAP.
And she emailed you this weekend...Can we say "overworked?"
Sound's like it couldn't hurt but I've heard they are notoriously slow. Would it be better to wait just a bit longer before you contact her? Let us know what you decide to do and how it works out. Hope we'll be able to read it someday! :)
OK, thanks ladies. I'll wait a week. Gulp. That means next Tues. I hope I can last that long. And Erin, no, I haven't submitted anything to that editor yet, though I do hope to. And I hope you hear back from her!!

Waiting is a drag but I would wait a full week at least from the last correspondence. If that makes it Friday, go for it.
