A beautiful essay

I've had the pleasure of reading some really great essays/non-fiction stories recently. Wanted to share this one with you. I'd sum it up as being about sibling relationships and youth. Reading really good essays reminds me of how hard they are to write. How do they manage to evoke such emotion, without being heavy handed about it?

I've been trying and trying to write a couple of essays lately, and failing miserably. They are difficult- You've done some nice ones yourself.

Thanks, Bug, that is a great one. I just LOVE reading good essays. I have been switched to personal essay writing for the MFA and I LOVE it more than any other writing I've ever done, though yes, Repeater, it's pretty challenging, and the bad ones are *really* bad [i know because I wrote one and sent it to my advisor yesterday!]. But with some work they don't stay that way.

Not I have "been" swtiched. I *have* switched, plain and simple.
